Okay, okay—technically Memorial Day is a time of reflection and remembrance. And I do hold space for that. But also? Let’s be real: it’s the unofficial start of summer.
Which means it’s time for:
🌞 Longer days
🍉 Drippy fruit and floppy hats
📚 Beach bags full of scandalous paperbacks
💦 And exactly zero regrets about reading steamy romance novels in public
What I’m Reading This Weekend:
Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez, narrated by Christine Lakin & Matt Lanter if my hold comes in on Libby!
My own WIP (Ximena’s HEA, coming in HOT) to make sure Reed and Ximena are bringing the emotional and sexual tension
Possibly a mattress sale flyer, if they’re offering memory foam and free shipping 👀
What I’m Not Doing:
Apologizing for reading HEAs
Wearing pants
Pretending Memorial Day is only about solemn flag ceremonies (honor is beautiful, yes—but joy is a kind of freedom too)
