Immerse yourself

There’s something delicious about human-narrated audiobooks, isn’t there?

Someone whispering a story right into your ear… someone carrying the emotional weight for you… someone performing the banter, the heartbreak, the tension, the yearning — while you just exist and sip something delightful.

My novels were always meant to be felt, not just read, and the audiobook narrators bring these worlds alive in a way that still makes me tear up. Whether you’re curled on the couch, taking a sunset walk, or hiding from your responsibilities, here’s how to fully immerse yourself.

When Ivy Met Adam narrated by CJ Bloom

CJ Bloom got Ivy on a soul-deep level — the softness, the sharp humor, the chaos of being very bisexual and very emotionally allergic all at once. And because CJ is a proud ally (and an absolute gem), she took this story on with so much care. She captured every layer Ivy tries to bury under competence and sarcasm.

If you want to sink into Ivy’s journey — rediscovery, surprise desire, trapped-in-paradise tension — build yourself a little ritual first.

  • Throw on your coziest Christmas pajamas.

  • Add a meile lei.

  • Surround yourself with law books you fully intend to ignore.

  • Wave a tiny pride flag.

And of course… you need a drink worthy of her journey.

🍹 Ivy’s Pomegranate Mojito

(A festive pink drink for messy self-discovery, tropical chaos, and one bisexual heroine who really had no idea she has allergies.)

Ingredients:

  • Mint leaves

  • 2 parts agave nectar

  • 1 part lime juice

  • just enough white rum

  • twice as much pomegranate juice

  • Club soda

  • Garnish: mint, lime wheel, fresh pomegranate arils

How to make it:

  1. Grab a shaker or — let’s be honest — a mason jar.

  2. Toss in mint leaves, agave, and lime juice.

  3. Muddle like a bartender with no ego and a deadline.

  4. Add rum (or leave it out for a mocktail, no judgement here).

  5. Add pomegranate juice (unless you’re allergic like Ivy!).

  6. Strain over a glass full of ice.

  7. Top with club soda.

  8. Garnish with mint, lime, and arils.

Pro tip: Take a sip right as CJ Bloom says Adam’s name with that warm certainty. Instant spark.

Holland, My Heart narrated by Cindy Harden & Brian Rivera

This audiobook is a dual narration, which means you get double the emotional punch. Cindy Harden captures Holland’s strength and grief with such tenderness, and Brian Rivera embodies Kai’s steady, grounding presence in a way that makes listeners swoon.

Holland’s story is all about healing, belonging, and rekindling joy — so when you listen, give yourself a setup that feeds your spirit.

  • Throw on your old high school track tee.

  • Treat yourself to hand-painted truffles.

  • Sip a vampiro that packs as much punch as Holland’s grief.

  • Have your passport on hand (just in case!).

  • Keep a group chat with your besties buzzing.

And now… the drink that gives Holland liquid courage to finally tell Kai how she feels about him.

🩸 Holland’s Vampiro Mexicano

Step 1: Make your sangrita. (I know. But trust me. TRUST. ME.)

Blend together:

  • 1 cup V8

  • ½ cup orange juice

  • ¼ cup lime juice

  • ¼ cup lemon juice

  • ½ roughly chopped jalapeño

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

  • 2–3 splashes Worcestershire

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Step 2: Build your vampiro.

Ingredients:

  • Lime wedge

  • Tajín

  • Ice

  • fresh lime juice

  • just enough tequila

  • twice as much sangrita

  • Squirt soda (yes, Squirt, non-negotiable)

How to make it:

  1. Rim your glass with lime, then Tajín — do NOT skip this step.

  2. Fill glass with ice.

  3. Add tequila, lime juice, and sangrita.

  4. Stir gently like Kai touching Holland’s cheek for the first time.

  5. Top with Squirt.

  6. Sip. Then accept that you will absolutely make another.

Why these audiobooks matter so much to me

Writing these stories was one thing — hearing them performed was something entirely different. Cindy, Brian, and CJ breathed new life into my characters. They caught the quiet hesitations, the unspoken truths, the grief behind the jokes, the longing between the lines.

When I heard Holland whisper her fears aloud for the first time? When I listened to Ivy lose her shit over her discovery of Adam’s secret? When Kai and Adam arrived in the room through a human voice? I cried. A lot. In public. No regrets.

Audiobooks let you live inside a story. They carry you. They meet you where you are — dishes, dog walks, insomnia, heartbreak, road trips, hope.

If you want to experience my books at full volume — emotionally, sensorially, spiritually — the audiobooks are the way.

Ready to dive in? Cue up the audiobook. Mix your drink. Slip into the moment. Let the story hold you.

And when you try one of these cocktails (or mocktails!), tag me — I want to see your gorgeous chaos.
