So resolved. Again.
Are you a New Year’s Resolution person, my heart?
Me? Still no. Still absolutely not.
But I am a naming-the-dreams-out-loud person. A writing-it-down-so-it-can’t-hide person. A “2026 is the year we stop pretending this is optional” person.
I found this list from 2023 recently—written with the kind of hope, audacity, and slightly unhinged confidence that only writers possess—and instead of cringing, I smiled.
My Goals for 2023
(Because the Universe has a sense of humor!)
Finish and publish Hannah’s Song.
2026 update: Still in progress!Finish and publish Eve’s story.
Published as When Ivy Met Adam! Yay!Write and publish Ximena’s sequel to Holland, My Heart.
2026 update: Still in progress!
So consider this less a resolution list and more a warm demand of myself. A reminder of what I’ve promised myself.
And because clarity is power, I’m making it official:
2026 Goals: Three new novels, fully written, fully published, fully unleashed
✨ Hannah’s Song
A poignant, intimate story from inside a marriage—and the heartbreak that comes with wanting a baby. Add a poly, nonbinary love triangle complication, and a reimagining inspired by 1 Samuel 1–2, and you’ve got a book that has been quietly wrecking me in the best way for years.
✨ Three’s a Charm
A gripping, genre-bending retelling inspired by Deborah: prophet, judge, and absolute badass. It’s a murder mystery and a polyamorous rom-dram at the same time, because apparently I like a challenge and refuse to stay in one lane.
✨ Ximena, My Heart
And… Ximena. She truly is my heart. Her story, her fire, her grief, her joy—and all that implies. If you know, you know. And you’ll preorder as soon as she’s ready!
No more someday. No more “soon.” 2026 is the year these stories step into the world.
This is the year. Let’s do this.
